Wednesday Online is a platform that aims to expose gender bias in everyday life — in how we work, walk, love, speak, and show up in the world. We believe stories have power. Especially when they’re true, lived, and sharp enough to cut through the noise.
We centre women and those who identify as women — but we’re here for everyone who wants to name the bias they see, feel, or carry. From office politics to public safety, medical care to motherhood, identity to intimacy — we track how the world still asks women to shrink, adjust, or absorb unfairness.
We publish short, clear writing — grounded in real moments, not outrage alone. Our work is smart, accessible, and committed to unlearning what we’ve been taught to accept.
This is a space for clarity, not clutter. To help readers recognize patterns, trust their experience, and speak without apology.
Want to write for us? Here’s what we’re looking for:
Who:
Women and those who identify as women — especially emerging writers, lived-experience experts, and sharp observers of how bias works.
What:
Articles (400–600 words) that call out gender bias in some form. You can write:
- A personal story that reveals a larger pattern
- A moment that shifted how you saw the world
- A sharp explainer that makes bias easy to recognize
- A commentary on something you’ve noticed in work, language, safety, health, family, dating, leadership — anything
What we love:
- Specific, grounded examples (What happened? How did it land?)
- Clear writing (No fluff. No jargon.)
- A perspective that invites reflection — not just outrage
